Lagos. May 21, 2012. Etisalat Nigeria has introduced its easybusiness proposition suite designed to lower costs for Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs), the nation’s fastest growing telecoms operator has said.
The easybusiness suite will be is a ‘one-stop’shop’ for the communication needs of SMEs aimed to cater for the needs of various segments as it comprises three variants of Premium, Compact and Complete, according to the telecoms company.
The plans come bundled with free minutes and SMS monthly within a selected Closed User Group (CUG) and a national call rate of 25k/sec to all networks in Nigeria as well as five international destinations (US, UK landline, China, India & Canada). One of the plans also come with free data package.
Chief Commercial Officer, Etisalat, Wael Ammar, said the package was unveiled to provide SME’s with the necessary communication support to enhance their competitiveness and make them achieve their dreams of owning their own business.
“We have considered that most SMEs have limited budget and based on this we have decided to improve our package for SMEs so that they can minimize the telecommunication cost for doing their business. The most interesting part of the package is that it is easy to use, requires little or no customization and skill because we understand that business owners are looking for high technology easy to use that they can use themselves, without the need for experts in the telecoms services to do that for them, ” Ammar said.
The easybusiness proposition is a means of providing SMEs with “cost effective, faster and better interactions, effective communication solutions with their customers and partners as well as improving relationships with new and existing customers while reinforcing teamwork amongst the SME mobile workforce.”
According to him, “the benefits of SME’s to any economy cannot be overemphasized. They support in no small measure in the creation of jobs at relatively low capital cost, thereby reducing high level of unemployment. They also contribute to the economy in terms of output of goods and services for export, attraction of Foreign Direct Investment resulting in foreign exchange earnings.”
Etisalat Nigeria says that the easybusiness package also comprises some unique features like VIP caller service, a free service which allows customers restrict specific numbers from reaching their mobile line, Credit transfer, as well as Recharge others, which allows customers to recharge other Etisalat lines from their Etisalat Easy Business line.
Etisalat Nigeria partnered with the Enterprise Development Centre of Lagos Business School on workshops to groom business owners on becoming top class business executives to achieve its commitment to the development of SMEs in Nigeria through the Easy Business proposition, the telecoms company adds.
